Gol center - the village center in the region Hallingdal.
Gol is centrally located, and an important road junction in the Southern Norway. The village is an attractive stopover when traveling between East and West in Norway. Gol is a trading and service center in Hallingdal all types of shops, shopping center and wine monopoly. Many good cafes and eateries make people come over and over again.

Gol Skipark, Skagahøgdi has 20 slopes and is in great development, including the development of cottages and apartments on the top of the Gol ski resort. The park in the ski resort was voted Norway's best in 2016. Skagahøgdi is 3 km from Gol center.

At the mountain area Golsfjellet you will find a network of trails and mountain roads that cross each other in one of the country's best mountain biking areas. The road network on Golsfjellet is connected to both Hemsedal and Valdres. Gol center and Golsfjellet have round trips, well organized for the whole family. Bicycle hire at Gol Tourist Office during the summer season. Big track network for cross-country skiing, starting from Gol Skiing park, Solseter and many other options at Golsfjellet.
Hiking
Gol center and Golsfjellet have prepared and safe hiking trails, updated signs and easily accessible mountain peaks. From Gol center are the most popular peaks Lisbetnuten and Dugurdsnatten. On Golsfjellet there are picnic areas with barbecue cabin, and easily accessible lakes for swimming and fishing. June to mid September is the main season for hiking.
Fishing
Gol municipality is divided into areas with own fishing licenses, which can be purchased at the tourist information office. Accommodations, gas stations and sports shops sell fishing licenses for their nearest zones.
Zone 1: Hallingdalselva from the border to Ål in Hallingdal to the border with Nesbyen is full of trout.
Zone 2: Søråsen. Along the road between Herad and Bagn there is a collecting fishing license for several good trout and perch water.
Zone 3: Golsfjellet has more water full of both trout and perch. Many of the lakes are located near the road.
Langedrag Naturpark ligger bare 45 minutter kjøretur fra Gol.
Tropicana Badeland- Pers Hotel
Indoor and outdoor water park with large slides, wave pool, children's area, palm garden and much more, right in the center of Gol. Oline SPA at Pers Hotel. Bowling is fun for everyone. Pers Hotel in Gol Center also offers children's bowling with their own court, balls and shoes. Pers Resort has four bowling alleys.

18 hole golf course
Golf course Hemsedal Golf Alpin, known as the fairway in Hallingdal.15 km from Gol center. The course is Hallingdal's only 18 hole golf course with driving range and putting green. The total length is 5,220 meters. Hemsedal Golf Alpin is idyllically situated with mighty mountains and the well-known Hydne waterfall in the background.
Activities and attractions in the area
Vassfaret Bjørnepark in Flå. In the bear park you can get in close contact with Norwegian and exotic wildlife.
Langedrag Nature Park. At Langedrag you can experience different animals, for example. wolf, lynx, mountain reef, moose, horses and goats. A total of 300 animals.
